The Patient-Physician Relationship The complexities of our health-care system have strained its very foundation: the interaction between patient and physician.Significant time, money and resources have been focused on the patient-physician relationship and what can be done to "fix the system," but few efforts have been made to bring patients and physicians together to collaborate on solutions. That's why Johns Hopkins and American Healthways last fall gathered more than 200 patients and physicians to debate, develop and define the ideal patient-physician relationship in the 21st century. This website is dedicated to the results of their work and to continuing the conversation in every community throughout the country. See the press release here. |
